Drawing on his experiences in the U.S. Marines, in the corporate world, as a coach, and as a small business owner, Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard has published a book called "The Ballard Rules: Small Unit Leadership."

Ballard will discuss those experiences, two overarching responsibilities of leadership, the three indicators of effective leadership and the relationship between responsibility, accountability, and authority during a talk from 7 to 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2008, in Room 450 at the IUPUI Campus Center.

The event is open to the public and free of charge, but tickets are recommended. Tickets are available in Campus and Community Life, Room 370 in the Campus Center.
