IU Benefit-Eligible Employees Can Check Benefit Elections Online

Employees can now check 2008 Open Enrollment medical, dental, Tax Saver Benefit Plan, and Personal Accident Insurance elections online by logging on to Benefits Self Service from OneStart.

Changes made during Open Enrollment should be reflected in Benefits Self Service. The Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) elections are not currently available in Benefits Self Service.

Errors should be submitted to the Human Resources office by Feb. 1, 2008.

To view 2008 elections in Benefits Self Service:

  1. Log in to OneStart at onestart.iu.edu/my2-prd/portal.
  2. Click on the Services tab.
  3. Click on the Benefits Self Service link located in the Employee Self Service box.
  4. Click on the link to Benefits Summary.
  5. Click on each benefit to verify your enrollment in the plan; check that all dependents are listed; and make sure your beneficiaries are updated.
  6. When working in OneStart, especially on a public computer, always remember to log out.
After verifying 2008 benefit elections, employees may want to take the opportunity to review and update certain information for any insurance, retirement, and savings plans listed in the Benefits Summary.
