Peirce Seminar Explores Variation of Existential Graphs
A new variation of Charles S. Peirce’s Existential Graphs, Intuitionistic Existential Graphs, is the topic for the next meeting of the Indianapolis Peirce Seminar.
Arnold Oostra, professor of mathematics at Universidad del Tolima in Ibague, Colombia, will present the Peirce lecture at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at the Institute of American Thought. The Institute is located in Room 0014 of the Education and Social Work Building on the IUPUI campus, 902 West New York St.
Oostra is the author of Huellas en los encuentros de geometria y aritmetica. One of his main interests is Peirce’s Mathematical Logic. He has published many papers on the topic in Boletin de Mathematicas.
