Open House, Panel Discussion Mark Opening of Two Signature Centers

The Department of Mathematical Sciences and the Department of Computer and Information Science invite faculty and staff to an open house celebrating the establishment of two new signature centers: the Center for Mathematical Biosciences (CMB) and the Center for Bio-Computing (CBC).

The open house will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at the centers, both housed in the new Health, Information and Translational Sciences (HITS) Building, 410 W 10th St.

Open house activities will include a tour of the facilities, and several presentations to showcase the current work of the CMB and CBC faculty affiliates.

The event will conclude with a panel discussion that will underscore the many collaborative research opportunities at the interface of biological, medical, mathematical and computing sciences that are emerging on the IUPUI campus.
