Jags in the Streets: A Great Way to Serve

Jaguars in the Streets is an IUPUI program designed to give IUPUI students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to volunteer with great organizations right here in our Indianapolis community. Each month will tackle different social issues.

For the month of September, volunteer sites are:

Keep Indianapolis Beautiful: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept, 15, 2007, 56th Street near Fort Benjamin Harrison, planting trees and flowers.

Second Helpings: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 24 and 25, 2007, 1121 Southeastern Avenue, working in the kitchen and preparing food for cooking and distribution. Free lunch will be provided.

To register and for additional information, go to http://www.iupui.edu/outreach/community/programs/inthestreets.

Direct questions and comments to Heather Parmenter, hparment@iupui.edu.
