It’s BackPack Attack!
It is that time of year. It is the Back-To-School supply drive known as BackPack Attack. All of the donations will benefit school children in the K-12 Indianapolis Public Schools. Look for posters across campus and large United Way collection boxes to drop off your gifts.
The drive runs through July 27. Items needed include:
Backpacks, erasers, rulers, crayons, art boxes, scissors, glue sticks, pencil sharpeners, ink pens, pencils, colored pencils, notebook paper, pocket folders, calculators markers, spiral notebooks and alarm clocks.
This year the goal for the citywide drive is 425,000 supplies. Besides collecting supplies from your school or organization on campus, you can help by making cash donations through the IU alumni office. Checks should be made payable to “IUAA.”
Check out www.backpackattackindy.org for additional information, including details on the “dine out to donate” at all 31 central Indiana Applebee’s locations on July 10, and the “dine-out” at four Qdoba locations on July 17.
