Walk to Help Fight Cystic Fibrosis
On May 19 at Military Park, Great Strides Team IUPUI is walking to help raise money to find a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF). Members of the IUPUI community are invited to participate in this 5/10K walk.
Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease causing progressive lung disease and digestive problems. Two IUPUI faculty, Sally Catlin (Computer and Information Technology) and Gabriel Filippelli (Earth Sciences), have a 10-year-old son with CF.
You can register online for the Great Strides walk at http://www.cff.org/Great_Strides/GabrielFilippelli, or you can register at 9 a.m. on walk day at Military Park. The walk, which winds around the beautiful canal, starts at 10 a.m. and ends with food, drinks, and entertainment at the park.
For additional information, please contact Sally (scatlin@iupui.edu) or Gabriel (gfilippe@iupui.edu).
