HHE and IU Life Sciences Day at Statehouse
Indiana University will host the 16th Annual Hoosiers for Higher Education Statehouse Visit and the second Annual Life Sciences Day at the Statehouse on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007.
Life Sciences Day will feature exhibits by top faculty from IU's life sciences disciplines. Demonstrations will cover the most current research in diabetes, breast cancer, biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, environmental sciences and nursing.
IU advocates will participate in a rally and visit with hometown legislators later that afternoon. The program will feature guest speakers IU President Adam Herbert and Dr. D. Craig Brater, vice president for IU's life sciences and dean of the IU Medical School.
Activities planned are:
- Life Sciences Exhibit: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in South Atrium
- Program: 2 p.m.-3 p.m. in North Atrium
- Reception: 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m. at the Indiana Roof Ballroom
