IU To Host University Wide Information Technology Fair
Indiana University students, faculty and staff can discover the many information technology (IT) services and tools available to them at the 2007 Making IT Happen!, an annual half-day technology event hosted by University Information Technology Services on all IU campuses. They can also see first hand a showcase of IT-related projects by students.
Making IT Happen! takes place on the IUPUI campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, in the lobby of the Informatics and Communications Technology Complex.
“The event provides an opportunity for students to learn more about technologies and services available to them on campus, and in many cases showcase their own projects to fellow students, the faculty and staff,” said Garland C. Elmore, IU deputy chief information officer and dean of information technology at IUPUI.
Attendees of Making IT Happen! will find free software and technology help; the latest in computers, software and cell phones; refreshments and giveaways; and a chance to win door prizes. Student showcases include class projects and projects resulting from personal interests.
