Reel World Forum looks at AIDS in Kenya, IU-Kenya Partnership

IUPUI faculty are invited to attend the next showing in “The Reel World Film Forum” series, a social justice ministry of Lockerbie Central United Methodist Church.

The forum will present Into the Heart of Hope, an Emmy Award-winning documentary on the state of HIV/AIDS in Kenya, at 7 p.m. Friday, (Jan. 12) at Lockerbie Central UMC, 237 N. East St.

The film's executive producer, Stan Abell, along with representatives from the IU-Kenya AIDS Partnership and the Damien Center, will be present for a panel discussion after the film.

Admission is free. A "love offering" will be collected with proceeds going to the IU-Kenya AIDS Partnership. Free off-street parking is available. Refreshments, including Fair Trade coffee, will be available at no cost.
