Health Department Offering Free Smoking Cessation Classes in 2007

The Marion County Health Department, Wishard Health Services and HealthNet, Inc. will provide free smoking cessation classes throughout 2007.

In January, the health department will sponsor classes from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Jan. 4, 11, 18 and 25 at the Glendale Branch of the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library. Another quit smoking program will be presented from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 8, 15, 22 and 29 at the Brightwood Branch of the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library.

Health department officials ask all participants to plan on attending all class sessions. Reservations are required and can be made by contacting the Marion County Health Department at (317) 221-2084.
