The Peirce Edition Project Presentation

University of New Hampshire Professor James R. Wible will give a survey of Charles S. Peirce’s work on economic theory at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 20 at the Institute of American Thought, located in Room 0014 of the Education and Social Work building, 902 W. New York Street. The Institute for American Thought is part of the School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI.

Wible’s lecture gives special attention to Peirce’s reading of Augustin Cournot’s “Researches into the Mathematical Principles of the Theory of Wealth;” and Peirce’s monopoly theory, duopoly reaction functions and work on the economy of research.

The guest lecturer is professor of economics at the University of New Hampshire.
