Peirce Lecturer to Discuss Philosophy and Business Management
James Hoopes, visiting Frances Thompson Professor of Leadership Studies at Kettering University and Murata Professor of Business Ethics at Babson College, will present “Peirce and Business Management” at IUPUI on April 12.
The lecture, sponsored by the Peirce Edition Project, will begin at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 12 in Room 0010, Education and Social Work building.
Hoopes is the editor of “Peirce on Signs: Writings on Semiotic by Charles Sanders Peirce.” His most recent book is “False Prophets: The Gurus Who Created Modern Management and Why Their Ideas Are Bad for Business Today.” He is presently working on a book entitled “Moral Leadership: George W. Bush’s Example of How and How Not to Do It.”
