Plater Celebration; Video Remarks Solicited

This spring the campus will honor a man whose vision has shaped IUPUI into a first-class urban research university.

A celebration to honor the contributions of Executive Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Faculties William Plater will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, May 18 at University Place Hotel. Part of the event includes the viewing of a video of faculty, staff, students and community members whose lives have been influenced by Dean Plater.

Students, staff and faculty are invited and encouraged to contribute a brief video-taped statement of how Dean Plater has touched their lives at IUPUI. Statements should be short snippets of 30 – 45 seconds. Interested individuals may record their statements anytime between 2 and 5 p.m., April 3 – 7 in room IT 200.

Participants may park in the circle drive in front of the building during the 15-20 minute taping.
