Save the Date: Student Diversity Teleconference
The Division of Student Life and Diversity will sponsor a teleconference featuring a panel of experts discussing proven strategies for transforming universities into places where diverse student populations can succeed.
“Shattering Barriers: Transforming the College Experience for Students of Color,” will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 20. Location is to be announced.
This teleconference is being coordinated by the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition. Panelists include: Evette Castillo, director of multicultural affairs at Tulane University; Wynetta Lee, associate vice president for academic planning, research and graduate studies at California State University-Monterey Bay; and Laura Rendón, professor and chair of the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Iowa State University.
