Register for Race for the Cure

It’s not too late to race for the cure and help support the fight against breast cancer!

The 2006 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will take place Saturday, April 22. The race/walk event begins and ends on campus. Individuals interested in being a member of the IUPUI Race for the Cure team, should return a completed entry form to mposch@iupui.edu with the required entry fee no later than 5 p.m. Thursday, March 23.

On race day, the 5k competitive run/walk will begin at 9 a.m. The 5K non-competitive run/walk event will begin at 9:10 a.m.

The basic fee schedule is as follows:

• Individual entry, $23
• Sleep-in for the Cure, (entrant not present race day), $40
• Child (8 years old and younger), free

Additional fees of $5 and $50, respectively, are required for individuals who wish to receive a commemorative timing chip for completing the competitive race in 35 minutes; and those who wish to make a $50 donation.

Race organizers are anticipating 50,000 participants so arrive early to find parking and then browse the many merchandise and Health Fair Expo tents.
