Liberal Arts Sabbatical Speaker Series
From “The Story of Lewis Pasteur and Madame Curie” to “Walk the Line” and “Ray,” the biopic genre has signified an official entrance to the cultural pantheon.
A film studies scholar picks over politics and parody, creativity, convention and posterity in Hollywood's most prestigious and least appreciated genre during the upcoming lecture in the Liberal Arts Sabbatical Speaker Series.
Dennis Bingham, associate professor of English and director of film studies, will present “Who Deserves a Biopic?” from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Friday, March 31 in Room 508 of Cavanaugh Hall.
RSVP: Annette Hill, anjhill@iupui.edu, (317) 278-1839.
