Woman’s Day Celebration

The annual International Women's Day Celebration will be held on Thursday evening, March 2, 2006, at the IUPUI University Library, Lilly Auditorium.

The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with a reception catered by Caribbean Flava Restaurant. Entertainment begins at 7 p.m. with featured performers, including poets Mijiza Yaa Soyini and Penny Cray; fiction writer Joanna Wos; and koto (Japanese zither) players, followed by a multilingual, multicultural open mike time at 8:20 p.m. To reserve a slot for the open mike session, contact Karen Kovacik (kkovacik@iupui.edu).
