Africa Action Director to Speak at IUPUI

The leader of an organization devoted to mobilizing support for positive international policies toward Africa will speak at IUPUI next month.

Salih Booker, executive director of Africa Action, will lecture from noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at Cavanaugh Hall, Room 508. African Action educates and mobilizes Americans and others to fight for positive U.S. and international policies toward Africa. Africa Action also supports African struggles for human rights and democracy, peace and security, and development.

Booker is a board member of the International Relations Center (IRC) and Foreign Policy in Focus analyst and advisory committee member. He appears regularly on CNN International as well as on other national and foreign news programs.
