New Model for Curriculum Development

English and philanthropic studies Professor Richard C. Turner will present a new model for curriculum development in higher education during a lecture from noon to 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 13, in Cavanaugh Hall, Room 438.

Current rates of change and institutional pressures require all faculty to update their approaches to curricular development and faculty ownership for new directions in undergraduate education. Turner will offer an overview of the steps Philanthropic Studies has taken recently that provide a model for future conversations in disciplines and professions about negotiating curricular developments in response to a changing context in higher education.
