OPD Offers Recruitment and Retention Support Services

The Office of Professional Development encourages all IUPUI, administrators, faculty, and staff to explore two Web sites with information about OPD resources and services for the recruitment and retention of faculty.

The IUPUI Faculty Recruitment Enhancement Project (FREP) http://www.opd.iupui.edu/frep/ is an ongoing effort to assist in enhancing the recruitment process for all faculty, with special attention to faculty diversity. The project involves a number of features, including collaborating with various campus administration, schools, departments, and programs of IUPUI to identify and develop model practices in recruitment.

The Office for Multicultural Professional Development (OMPD) http://www.opd.iupui.edu/ompd/ is an advocacy unit that supports the recruitment and retention of faculty and academic staff from less-represented populations. OMPD serves on committees, consults with schools and departments, and works with individual faculty and academic staff.
