Law and Justice Movie Series
The Law and Justice movie series will present “Redemption,” a riveting movie starring Jamie Foxx, at 7:45 p.m. today (Nov. 18) in Room 300 of the IU School of Law-Indianapolis building.
“Redemption” tells the story of Stanley“Tookie” Williams, cofounder of the Crips gang. He is currently on death row in California and is scheduled for execution on Dec. 13. A discussion about ways to help save Williams’ life will take place after the movie.
While in prison Williams has worked to educate young people to avoid gangs, crime and incarceration through his books and international mentoring program on the Internet. He has been nominated for four Nobel Peace prizes for his work.
