The State of Advising at IUPUI

As part of the IUPUI goals of doubling retention and graduation rates, academic advising has been identified as a key intervention strategy to enhance student persistence and success.

The first of three sessions to explore academic advising at IUPUI will be held this month. This event will be offered twice: Nov. 15, 8:30-10:00 a.m.; November 16, 3 – 4:30 p.m. Both sessions will be held in Room 1126 of University Library.

The session will include an overview of student satisfaction with advising at IUPUI; a faculty advisor panel discussion; and small group discussions about how IUPUI can help support faculty and staff in their roles as advisors.
