Indiana University Wins International Award for Video About IT Services for Students
A video that teaches new students about technology services at Indiana University campuses recently won a first place award from the Special Interest Group for University and College Computing Services (SIGUCCS) of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), an international technology organization of colleges and universities.
University Information Technology Services created the video to educate new students about services like e-mail, software and hardware deals, computer security, and technology support. Incoming students at IU’s eight campuses watch the video during orientation sessions.
The video, entitled "Making IT Work for You - UITS & Our Partners," was awarded Overall Winner in the Promotional Video/Audio category in the ACM SIGUCCS annual Communication Competition and will be presented at the 2005 SIGUCCS Fall Conference Nov. 6-9 in Monterey, California.
