Engineers without Borders: Public Lecture and Reception
In the next two decades, almost two billion additional people are expected to populate the Earth, 95% of them in developing or underdeveloped countries. This growth will create unprecedented demands for energy, food, land, water, transportation, materials, waste disposal, earth moving, health care, environmental cleanup, telecommunication, and infrastructure. The role of engineers will be critical in fulfilling those demands at various scales, ranging from remote small communities to large urban areas.
On Friday, November 4 from 4:00pm-5:15pm in ET room 202, you are invited to attend a public lecture titled “Engineering for the Developing World: Challenges and Opportunities” featuring Bill Farr, Vice President of Engineers without Borders.
A reception will follow from 5:30pm-6:30pm in the 2nd Floor Lobby of the ET building.
