African American, African Diaspora Studies Program Speaker Series
Cecilia Green, assistant professor, Department of Sociology at the University of Pittsburgh, will discuss “From ‘Disorderly Conduct’ to Organized Self-Restraint: Transition in an Afro-Caribbean Female Labor Force, 1880–1930” from noon to 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 24 in Room 425 of Cavanaugh Hall.
Professor Green teaches courses on social inequality; development; race, class and gender; globalization; Caribbean and postcolonial society; and social theory.
