Smoking Policy Update

Clarian Health Partners recently announced that their campuses will become non-smoking. The interior of Clarian facilities has long been designated as non-smoking. Beginning July 1, smoking will be prohibited on the grounds surrounding the hospitals.

This policy affects Riley Hospital, University Hospital and Wishard Hospital. It applies to everyone who is on Clarian-owned or leased property – patients, visitors, employees, volunteers, physicians, students, contract employees, contractors and service representatives.

On August 1, IUPUI’s current smoking policy will be altered to include the prohibition of smoking in pedestrian traffic ways along Middle Drive and Barnhill Drive. Please be reminded that all garages are non-smoking structures.
