Outrun the Sun and Fight Cancer

Sign up now for the inaugural “Outrun the Sun” 5K-5 mile run/walk scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, June 4, and help fight the dangers of melanoma and other skin cancers. Those who participate in the event will help raise funds to benefit melanoma education and medical research.

To pre-register, go online to the “Outrun the Sun” registration site (www.outrunthesun.org/) and click on the registration link. Late signups also will be accepted from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the Natatorium at IUPUI.

To help drive home the point about the dangers of too much exposure to the sun, the race will begin in the early evening. The entry fee is $20. Participants are encouraged to park at IUPUI’s Barnhill garage, near the starting points for the walking portion of the event.
