Cowboy Poet to Headline Grand Opening
Join cowboy poet Baxter Black as he spins tales that transport you into the everyday lives of people who live with livestock and work the land.
Black is the featured performer during the grand opening of the Mel and Joan Perelman Wing of the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art. He will speak in the museum’s Clowes Sculpture Court at 7 p.m. on June 11.
Since 1982, Black has rhymed his way into the national spotlight, and now stands as the best selling cowboy poet in the world. He is regularly featured on NPR and authors the widely syndicated column, “On the Edge of Common Sense.”
