Tostada/pozole Dinner to Raise Funds for Mexico Service Trip
A group of 30 IUPUI students, faculty and staff this summer will travel to Mexico for a one-month immersion and service program. They will work at four sites, including a community center and an orphanage.
To raise funds for this service project, The Hawthorne Center will host a tostada/pozole dinner from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 6 at the center, 2440 West Ohio St.
The goals of the service project are for volunteers to learn Spanish, to better understand and service Indianapolis’ Spanish-speaking residents, as well as to provide service.
Medical supplies; school supplies; and activity materials such as clay, puzzles and music are needed for the service project.
For additional information, or to donate supplies, call (317) 274-3931.
