IUPUI Administrator and Family Win Community Award
During a celebration held recently at the Union Federal Football Center Colts Pavilion, Family Services of Central Indiana, Inc. presented IUPUI administrator Kim Manlove, his wife, Marissa, and their son Joshua, with the Alice M. Ross Salute to Families Award.
The award, presented by Colts Coach Tony Dungy, recognized Kim Manlove, IUPUI assistant dean of the faculties, and his family for the work they have done in the prevention and education of adolescent substance abuse after the 2001 death of Manlove’s son David from a drug-related drowning.
Dungy, known for his strong commitment to faith and family, was the keynote speaker for the breakfast celebration and award presentation.
Family Services is a private, nonprofit organization that works to preserve and strengthen families in times of crisis, change or growth through counseling, support and education.
Each year the organization presents the Salute to Families Award to a family nominated by friends, relatives, co-workers or others.
