Team IUPUI Bigger Than Ever for Race for the Cure
When the 2005 Komen Indianapolis Race for the Cure begins at IUPUI the morning of Saturday, April 16th, IUPUI Team Jaguars will bring 947 participants to the starting line, the largest number of participants for the team in the history of the race.
According to Martin Posch, interim director of community outreach at IUPUI, the team will include 27 cancer survivors and 47 children. Posch thanked the IUPUI bookstore for its support of Team Jaguars.
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race for the CureŽ Series raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. With funds raised by the Komen Race for the CureŽ Series, the Komen Foundation with its Affiliate Network is able to fund breast cancer research grants, meritorious awards and community outreach programs
