Harvard Professor to Speak
Harvard Professor Lani Guinier will be a guest speaker from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m., Tuesday, April 5 at the IU School of Law-Indianapolis, Room 245.
Guinier will discuss her endeavors in aspiring to become the first female African American tenured law professor at Harvard. The professor will also talk about the effects of being publicly ridiculed for her thoughts on cumulative voting, specifically the effects of President Clinton’s nomination and then withdrawal of her nomination to head the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice in 1993.
