Adverse Weather Policy
Now that the weather is taking a turn toward winter, you may want to become familiar with the university's Adverse Weather policy. The university generally does not close because of adverse weather.
When the campus remains open during adverse weather, employees are expected to use their best judgment if adverse weather creates extreme travel hazards for commuting to and from the workplace. They should not endanger themselves or ignore the statements of local officials about traveling during adverse weather. Staff should make every effort to notify their supervisor if they cannot get to work, and advance notice requirements for use of time off will be waived.

Enhanced shuttle service from Eskenazi Garage
IUPUI Parking & Transportation Services is happy to announce enhanced shuttle service from Eskenazi Garage. The Gold Line currently servicing Eskenazi Garage has been expanded to include stops near the core of campus.
The new Gold Line route combines the current Gray and Gold Lines into one bigger route providing more convenient stops. The new shuttle service will begin at Eskenazi Garage at 5:30am and will operate until 10:00pm. Between 6:00am and 6:00pm, you will enjoy pickup times every 10 minutes. You will be able to park and ride to the Campus Center in just minutes. All other times you will still enjoy timely rides every 15 minutes. The existing Gold Line stops at Eskenazi Garage, Drive B/10 Street, and Rotary Circle and will be enhanced with new stops that will now include Campus Housing, Campus Center, Barnhill/Michigan Streets, and Ball Residence. Please see the map of the new route. The new Gold Line will begin service January 2, 2013 at the Eskenazi Garage.
Why is the current Gold Line being expanded? The partnership between Wishard Hospital Administration and IUPUI allows us utilization of the Eskenazi Garage until the new Eskenazi Hospital is completed in January 2014. At that time, IUPUI will take control of the existing Wishard garage located at Wishard and University Blvds. Until this time, parking remains abundantly available in the Eskenazi Garage. Expanding shuttle service from the Eskenazi Garage to the core of campus will make parking in Eskenazi Garage more appealing when finding a parking space on campus may be difficult.
Additionally, effective January 7, 2013 "B" spaces currently located in Lot 54, just west of the Dental School, will be converted to "A" spaces. "B" customers currently parking in this lot may park in the Eskenazi Garage and catch the Gold Line to one of many stops. Watch for new signage in this lot in December.
The new Gold Line will stop at the Campus Center.
The new Gold Line route will begin at Eskenazi Garage at 5:30am on January 2, 2013 and will stop at the following locations:
- Drive B/10 Street
- Rotary/Riley Outpatient Center
- Campus Apartments
- Campus Center
- Barnhill/Michigan Streets
- Ball Residence
