Mid-America College Health Association call for programs and postersIUPUI is hosting the Mid-America College Health Association 2012 Annual Conference, Nov. 8 and 9, in downtown Indianapolis. The goals of the conference are to provide opportunities for professional development through continuing education, to share effective programs, services, techniques and other innovations in college health, and to provide an opportunity for networking with other professionals in the field. We are now accepting program and poster submissions for the conference. Deadline to submit your program proposals for consideration is July 13, 2012. Summer sidewalk construction projectsMany construction projects will be under way this summer at IUPUI to improve learning, work and living environments. One project that will affect everyone is the sidewalk and paver repair project. Many locations across campus will undergo some kind of concrete repair or installation. Please be careful as you walk around campus and pay attention to the detour routes. Work will begin at the end of June and continue through the end of July. The project is scheduled to be complete before the start of school. A complete list of the project areas is available on the master plan website. Sheri Eggleton appointed assistant director for parking and transportationCampus Facility Services is happy to announce that Sheri Eggleton has been appointed assistant director of administration for Parking and Transportation Services. Sheri holds a Bachelor of Science in management and human resources management from Kelley School of Business Indianapolis and is a highly motivated and effective leader and manager with 25 years of campus experience in areas of marketing, customer relations, strategic planning and financial analysis. Sheri is very understanding of the need to balance a strong bottom line with exceptional customer service. She was selected for this position in part because of her ability to perform multiple roles within the broad range of both analytical and creative skills. Sheri is highly competent in recognizing the rapidly changing technologies and business strategies that demand attention to detail and a strong strategic long-term vision. She has proven that she is passionate in every aspect of her professional and personal life with the success she has had leading Jagtag and having served as a fiscal officer, financial analyst and business manager at IUPUI. |
