From the Desk of the Chancellor

Chancellor Charles R. Bantz

As of June 15, we welcome back to IUPUI Nasser Paydar in his new role as IUPUI's executive vice chancellor and chief academic officer. Hired after a national search that produced a very strong group of finalists, Nasser will help lead the effort, during the next year, to build a plan for the 21st century, a plan that brings together all the campus leadership — academic, research, finance, administration, student life, diversity, external affairs and planning — and all our students, faculty and staff.

At IUPUI, we have accomplished much, but we look forward to accomplishing even more with our new partner, Nasser Paydar, whose message to the campus community can be viewed below.

Greetings from Executive Vice Chancellor Nasser Paydar

Dear Friends,

I am delighted to be rejoining the IUPUI community. As your new Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer, I will dedicate myself fully to promoting and supporting the academic environment for the success of our campus' mission, including fostering collaborations across the Campus and the University.

IUPUI, a core campus of Indiana University and the State's urban research and academic health sciences campus, is committed to excellence in teaching and learning; research, scholarship, and creative activity; and civic engagement locally, nationally, and internationally. Chancellor Bantz and I are determined to work together toward the goal of taking this great campus to a new and higher level of excellence.
