IUPUI Professor Brings Unique Expertise To Bear in Book on Ray Bradbury
A new book, "Becoming Ray Bradbury," offers a unique look into the mind of an iconic writer who has been called America's "prose poet for the space age."
"It's sort of a biography of his mind," says Jonathan R. Eller, author of the book and co-founder of the Center for Ray Bradbury Studies, senior textual editor of the Institute for American Thought and a professor of English at IUPUI.

IUPUI to Celebrate 40th Anniversary of Cavanaugh Hall
Cavanaugh Hall, located on the IUPUI campus at 425 University Blvd., will celebrate its 40th anniversary with an open house and reunion from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23, 2011. The event will feature a special six-story exhibit, "Cavanaugh Hall: 40 Years of Impact," exploring the building's history, along with a reception and comments from Dean William Blomquist at 6 p.m.

First Day of Classes at IUPUI Brings More Diverse, Better Prepared New Students
Diversity is the hallmark of the more than 4,500 new students who begin classes today (August 22, 2011) at IUPUI. Slightly more than one out of every four of these students is non-white.
This beginning group of students also has 8.5 percent more students who scored 1300 or higher on the critical reading and math portions of the SAT than the beginning group of students who started a year ago.
