Join IUPUI Food Service for a Summer BBQ!Join IUPUI Food Service for a summer barbecue from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, on the patio outside the Campus Center. The menu will include hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken breast, chips, baked beans, corn on the cob and cold beverages. Customers will pay for their lunch with cash at the on-site cashier station. WFYI Seeks Photos of "Inspiring Places" for "Spirited Chase"Have fun and help WFYI select the destinations of its "Spirited Chase" tour to take place during the 2009 Spirit & Place Festival. To celebrate the festival theme, "Inspiring Places," WFYI is asking people to submit photos of places that inspire them. WFYI will select six submissions from all the entries and turn those six into "Spirited Chase" tour destinations on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009. The Spirited Chase will be a delightful excursion to each inspirational place. Participants may submit photos of any inspiring location for posting on the tour Web site, but WFYI will choose Spirited Chase destinations that are closest to Indianapolis. To submit photos, go to http://www.wfyi.org/spiritedChase/inspiringPlaceUpload.asp?tableName=spiritedchase, upload your photos and tell why the place inspires you. Deadline for submission is July 31, 2009. |

Irwin Award Call for NominationsNominations are now open for the Glenn W. Irwin, Jr. M.D. Experience Excellence Recognition Award which honors faculty and staff members for service "above and beyond the call of duty." IUPUI faculty and staff are invited to nominate any full-time IUPUI faculty and/or staff member who has worked for the university a minimum of 12 months. Nominations are due no later than 5 p.m. Aug. 7, 2009. Submit nominations at http://www.hra.iupui.edu/hra/IrwinAwardNomination.asp.
