Inside IUPUI Events and AnnouncementsCelebrate EMSC Day on May 20, 2009On May 20, 2009, Indiana's Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program will join more than 85 agencies nationwide to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the EMSC program. EMSC is a national initiative designed to reduce childhood death and disability due to severe illness or injury. To celebrate EMSC Day, various educational and outreach activities will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. These activities will be held in collaboration with Wishard Ambulance Services at its offices located at 3930 Georgetown Road. HRA Presents Focus on Personal Financial ManagementThis six-part series, about financial basics (budgeting, saving, reducing debt, credit reports, personal financial ratios, etc.) will be held Tuesdays, May 26; June 2, 9, 23, 30; July 21, 12:05-12:55 p.m. at IUPUI VanNuys Medical Science Building, Room B 13/14. Impact IUPUI Inspires Impressive InvolvementThe 2009 Impact IUPUI Campaign for faculty and staff set a new record for giving this year. A total of 1,125 donors contributed $323,691 in support of IUPUI programs, scholarships and activities. This exceeds last year's totals of 1,024 donors contributing $317,455. All donors are invited to an Ice Cream Social, scheduled for 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at the Campus Center. Please RSVP to iufrsvp@iupui.edu. Irwin Award Nominations OpenNominations are now open for the Glenn W. Irwin, Jr., M.D. Experience Excellence Award. All full-time faculty and staff are eligible for nomination for the award which recognizes service "above and beyond the call of duty." The awards will be presented at the IUPUI Chancellor's Employee Recognition Convocation on Sept. 25, 2009. Nominations are due no later than 5 p.m. on Aug. 7, 2009.
