Inside IUPUI Events and AnnouncementsNational Empty Holster ProtestDuring the week of April 20-24, 2009, IUPUI students will participate in the Second National Empty Holster protest on campus. Students who are members of the Students for Concealed Carry on Campus (SCCC) will attend classes wearing EMPTY holsters. This symbolic protest is a result of state laws and campus policies that prohibit concealed weapons on college campuses in the hands of law – abiding citizens, and more specifically, concealed weapons permit holders. Students participating in this protest will be wearing empty holsters that are to be fully visible. Protestors will go about their daily activities and should not create any unnecessary disturbance. Please be advised that these students pose no threat to campus safety and are not carrying weapons. Adobe Product Specialists to Host Information SessionsOn Thursday, April 23, 2009, Adobe product specialists will host product infoshares to help you express your creativity, polish your multimedia presentations, and maximize your productivity with the many Adobe products now available at no-cost from IUware Online (iuware.iu.edu).
