IUPUI Campus Dining offers many vegetarian/vegan options. Most of these items are highlighted in brochures and on the video screens at each food concept in the Campus Center.

Chartwells Customer Satisfaction Surveys

Chartwells wants your input concerning the overall campus dining experience.

Faculty, staff and students are invited to visit the Campus Center Food Court on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, and Thursday, March 5, 2009, and fill out a customer satisfaction survey.

Surveys will also be available at The Law School Cafe daily during the week of March 2.

IUPUI Translating Research into Practice (TRIP) Community Showcase

Several of IUPUI's distinguished faculty scholars will present their translational research and illustrate how they improve people’s lives at the IUPUI TRIP Community Showcase. The showcase takes place on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, from 4:30 p.m. to - 6:30 p.m. in the 4th Floor Multipurpose Room of the IUPUI Campus Center, 420 University Blvd.

From health care to parenting, business to learning, and Indiana to the world, the featured faculty members have translated their research into viable practices that improve efficiencies and effectiveness and save lives.

New Faculty Tea Rescheduled

Postponed due to severe winter weather, the 2009 New Faculty Tea has been rescheduled for 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2009.

Beginning at the Center for Teaching and Learning (UL 1125), the tea includes scheduled stops at the Center for Research and Learning, the Center for Service and Learning, and the Office of International Affairs.

The tea provides opportunities to learn more about services and programs available to support faculty in teaching, research and service. All faculty members are welcome and light refreshments will be served.

Peter Singer to Speak at IUPUI

IUPUI will host Peter Singer, author of the new book "The Life You Can Save: Acting Now to End World Poverty," who will give a public lecture at 7:30 p.m. on March 10, 2009, at the IUPUI Campus Center, Room 450.

Named by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world and the Ira W. DeCamp Professor of Bioethics at Princeton University, Singer will explore ethical arguments and case studies of charitable giving to assert that current responses to world poverty are insufficient and ethically indefensible.

The event is presented by the Baker-Ort Chair in International Healthcare Philanthropy at the Center on Philanthropy and the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI, the IUPUI Student Activities Board, and the IUPUI 40th Anniversary Celebration.

The lecture is free and open to the public.

Sixth Annual Lake Lecture Set for March 26

Rabbi Elliot Dorff, Ph.D., rector and Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the American Jewish University, will speak on "Donations of Ill-Gotten Gain: A Jewish Legal Perspective" at the sixth annual Lake Lecture. The event, which also includes a case study, a question-and-answer session, and a book signing, will take place March 26, 2009, at the University Place Conference Center. A reception and the book signing begin at 4:15 p.m., followed by Dorff's speech at 5 p.m. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
