IUPUI Hosts Hiroshima/Nagasaki Poster Exhibit, Live Video Conference with A-Bomb Survivor

The 1945 bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are the focus of a traveling poster exhibit running through March 20, 2009, at the IUPUI Cultural Arts Gallery.

In conjunction with the exhibit, IUPUI on Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, will host "Hiroshima Speaks," a live video conference with a Hiroshima survivor, along with a panel discussion on the impact of the nuclear bombings and the prospects of a world free of nuclear weapons.

While IU School of Dentistry faculty, staff, and alumni managed the screening, dental hygiene, and treatment clinics during Give Kids a Smile, more than 70 dental and dental assisting students offered patients and their families wide-ranging services designed to promote the oral health of each of the disadvantaged children who participated in the event on Feb. 6.

School of Social Work Captures University and State Honors
