Lewis as assistant vice president for digital scholarly communications in the Indiana University Office of the Vice President for Information Technology, in addition to his campus responsibilities as dean of University Library at IUPUI.

Dental School Dean Goldblatt Announces Plans to Leave Admin Post in 2010

Dr. Lawrence I. Goldblatt, dean of the Indiana University of Dentistry, has recently announced plans to step down as head administrator of the school, effective June 30, 2010.

At that time, Goldblatt will have served as dean of Indiana's only school of dentistry, located on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus, for almost 14 years.

Dr. Eugene White, Superintendent of Indianapolis Public Schools, will be the keynote speaker.

Dr. Joseph T. Taylor, Dean Emeritus of the School of Liberal Arts, will be remembered by the unveiling of a bust rendered by Casey Eskridge and by presenting an original jazz composition by David Baker, Distinguished Professor of Music.

Joseph T. Taylor Hall is one of IUPUI's original buildings and is home to University College and the IUPUI Multicultural Center.

A reception will follow.

Deadline approaching for students to register for IU Latino conference in Indianapolis

Wright named associate dean for IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IUPUI

Eric R. Wright, director of the Center for Health Policy at Indiana University, has been named associate dean of the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

The appointment, subject to approval by the IU Board of Trustees, was announced today by John Graham, dean of the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. It takes effect May 11, 2009.
