The Crispus Attucks Museum, located on the campus now called the Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet School, professionally showcases treasures from that campus's days as Indiana's first all-black high school. The museum's collections tell the story of the high school, part of the Indianapolis Public Schools district, and the African American community that produced such legends as basketball great Oscar Robertson, Grammy Awards winner Kenneth "Baby Face" Edmond, jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard and opera star Angela Brown.

Thousands of balloons and a swarm of flies are the unique mediums in a new exhibit at the Herron School of Art and Design, located on the IUPUI campus.
"Exhibition: David Bowen and Jason Hackenwerth" runs through Saturday, March 7, 2009, in the Eleanor Prest Reese and Robert B. Berkshire Galleries at Herron, 735 W. New York Street. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

A computer-generated image of neurons inside a microscopic worm – digitally drawn by Albert William, research associate, Indiana University School of Informatics at IUPUI – is on the cover of the most recent issue of Molecular Interventions. The journal, published by The American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET), is among the most respected in the field of medical research.
