The Campus Sustainability Initiative Seeking Committee Members
The Campus Sustainability Committee is gearing up for new projects and initiatives for 2009.
The Campus Sustainability Initiative is an interdisciplinary coalition for sustainability programs at IUPUI integrating faculty, staff, and student participants. The initiative is seeking new committee membership open to faculty, staff, and student participants. The initiative is also seeking to fill some vacancies for committee co-chairs. The goal is for each committee to have two co-chairs, one to represent the faculty/academic side and one from staff/operations side of campus. Committees include the Built Environment, Energy, Land/Air/Water, Public Health, Recycling, and Transportation.
Committees will actively work to identify projects that further the Campus Sustainability Principles and submit proposals to the new Greening IUPUI Grant Fund due Feb. 28, 2009. The grant overview and application can be found at www.sustainable.iupui.edu.
Please contact one of the steering committee co-chairs, Lenore Tedesco (ltedesco@iupui.edu) and Rich Strong (ristrong@iupui.edu), to become involved.
Learn more about the Initiative and the Campus Sustainability Principles at: www.sustainable.iupui.edu.
