IT Strategic Plan Draft Released for Review

Indiana University has released a preliminary draft of the university's second Strategic Plan for Information Technology (ITSP2) for review by the university community. This plan will guide the university's IT investments for the upcoming years.

Members of the IU community are invited to review and comment on the draft at: http://ovpit.iu.edu/itsp2/.

The plan is divided into three major sections: sustaining IU's IT foundation, making IT more human centric, and addressing grand challenges -- areas where IU's existing leadership provides opportunities for unmatched excellence.

In keeping with IU President Michael McRobbie's directive to plan for the pervasive use of IT, ITSP2 is visionary, realistic, and relevant to the missions of IU's campuses. It is designed to sustain the progress of IU's 1998 IT Strategic Plan and ensure that IU can pursue excellence in all areas of education and research that make use of IT.
