1. Traffic in downtown Indianapolis on Thursday, Sept. 26
The funeral for IMPD Officer Rod Bradway, killed in the line of duty, will take place tomorrow at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Road closures begin in the morning through the late afternoon. Traffic will be very heavy in the morning with IMPD officers lining up on Pennsylvania Street at 8:30 a.m. Outbound traffic in the afternoon will be very difficult with street closures and gridlocked traffic. Event coordinators are saying the funeral at Bankers Life Fieldhouse will end around 4 p.m. This will be a very long procession with 1,000+ vehicles. It will likely take two hours to get out of the downtown area. This may have a major impact on your commute home. Please plan accordingly.
