Come out to Taylor Courtyard on Friday, April 26 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. for IUPUI's Jag-A-Palooza! This event is FREE for all students, faculty, staff and their families. The event will include food, music and a variety of activities such as inflatables, face painters, a caricature artist, a photo booth, carnival games, do-it-yourself spin art T-shirts and sand art!

A corn hole and ultimate frisbee tournament will also take place, as well as a live performance by a Bloomington/Nashville based band, South Jordan!

6. 2013 Summer Day Camp Preview
The IUPUI Sport Complex Summer Day Camp will be hosting a Camp Preview on Sunday, May 5 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the IU Natatorium. This event will give parents and children a chance to meet Summer Day Camp and Sport Camp staff as well as observe demonstrations of camp activities. Whether you are a first year camper, or have been to camp for several years, attendance is encouraged. Come check out all that we have to offer this summer!

The annual Biology Club Spring Plant Sale will be Wednesday, April 24 and Thursday, April 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in front of the IUPUI School of Science building. 14. Trunk show set for Glick Optical Shop
The Glick Eye Institute's Optical Shop will hold a trunk show and sale for eye glasses and sunglasses frames from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday April 24. Vendors include RayBan, Nautica, Gucci and Nine West. A 20 percent discount on sunglasses and glasses will be available to all IU/IUSM employees and IUPUI students. One pair of Gucci sunglasses and one pair of RayBan sunglasses will be given away during a drawing at 5 p.m.; you must be present to win.

17. IUPUI premieres 'True Colors,' a look at bigotry and tolerance after Obama's re-election
IUPUI will host the public premiere of an entertaining and provocative new play that explores perspectives of discrimination, bigotry and tolerance as gauged by reactions to the re-election of President Barack Obama.

Word of Mouth Productions will perform "True Colors," written, produced and directed by Vernon A. Williams, on Tuesday, April 30, at Hine Hall Auditorium, formerly the University Place Conference Center, 850 W. Michigan St. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and curtains rise at 6 p.m.

Join us for a workshop called Be Your Own Boss for young adults who have chronic conditions to talk about managing stress, making healthy decisions, working with doctors, and all of the other "fun stuff" that comes with being an adult!

40. Control Subjects Needed for Study involving Cancer-Survivors
Dr. Pradhan, a pediatric oncologist at Riley Hospital for Children, needs your help. His research team is studying the late effects of cancer treatments on cancer survivors. They need healthy controls aged 18-23 years of age for this research study. This study involves a one-time visit to Riley Hospital for Children's Outpatient Pediatric Hematology-Oncology clinic on the IUPUI campus. It consists of a donation of a small amount of blood (3 tablespoons) for research and have an ultra-sound of the blood-vessel in your arm. If you are 18 years or older, you may also have to take a medicine once during this ultrasound testing. Finally you will be filling out a health questionnaire. The time commitment for this study will be approximately two hours. You will receive $100.00 compensation for your time. If interested please contact our research nurse at 317-944-2832 to discuss your eligibility in the study.
41. Vibration Exercise and Cardiovascular Health
Researchers in the Department of Kinesiology and IU School of Medicine are conducting a study to determine whether vibration-assisted resistance training results in an increase in the release of cells in the blood that are known to positively affect blood vessel integrity and overall cardiovascular health. If you are a male (18-65 yr) who does not participate in a resistance training program, you may qualify for this study. For additional information, contact Tony Kaleth at akaleth@iupui.edu.
42. Research Study for Parents of Older Children and Adolescents with Problems
Are you and your teen having problems getting along? Indiana University School of Social Work needs parents of youth ages 10 to 16 to take part in a study.
The study will look at the effects of using an online multimedia program and guided discussion for parents of challenging youth. Online participation is anonymous. Participants completing the study receive $40.00.

43. Postmenopausal Osteoporosis Study
Do you or someone you love have postmenopausal osteoporosis? Dr Munro Peacock with the IU School of Medicine is Conducting a research study to determine if a study medication is safe and effective in women with severe postmenopausal osteoporosis.

44. Research Study for Children with ADHD
Investigators at IU School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry are conducting a research study for children aged 10-14 with suspected ADHD and mood swings. The study examines the effect of an FDA approved medication on a child‚s ability to regulate their emotions. This study involves 6 visits to Riley Hospital and 2 MRI brain scans. The first visit will be up to 6 hours, and the remaining visits will be approximately 1 hour. Participants will receive free mental health evaluations, free study medication, and will be compensated $210 to offset costs of time and travel if the study is fully completed. 45. Research Study for Children with ADHD, ODD, or Conduct Disorder
Investigators at IU School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry are conducting a research study for children aged 10-14 with suspected ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, or Conduct Disorder and healthy control children with no psychiatric disorders or addiction history in their family. The study examines a child‚s risk for drug addiction based on whether or not they have a father with a history of substance abuse. This study involves up to 3 visits to Riley Hospital. The first visit will be 3-4 hours, the second visit will be 2-3 hours, and the third visit (if applicable) will be 2-3 hours. 46. Recruiting Healthy Volunteers Wanted For A Research Study
Purpose: The purpose of this research is to study Respiratory Syncytial Virus and Influenza A. Healthy research subjects are needed for a comparison group.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must speak English
Boys and Girls 0-3 years old
No viral Infection within the past 6 weeks
No fever in the past 6 weeks
Other exclusion criteria will be discussed prior to enrollment in the study
Study involves:
One visit(approx 1 hour of time)
Nasal wash
Blood draw
