5. The Startup Kids Film Screening with Guest Speaker Scott Jones
The Startup Kids is a new documentary about young web-entrepreneurs around the world. The premier screening of this inspirational film is set to take place on Friday, March 29, 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the IUPUI Campus Center Theater in Indianapolis. In addition to the screening will be a networking mixer and special guest speakers Scott Jones of ChaCha and Gerry Hays of Slane Capital.

9. LGBT mini-grants available for Fall 2013 programming
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Faculty/Staff Council at IUPUI is awarding multiple mini-grants up to $500 for faculty, staff and students who wish to promote or enhance knowledge, tolerance, sensitivity and/or develop understanding of LGBT issues and/or the LGBT community through the development of co-curricular academic programming. The Campus Center is hiring for the 2013 fall semester! If you're enthusiastic, responsible, and interested in contributing to the success of the Campus Center, submit an application by April 3, 2013. 12. 5th Annual Miss IndyLaw DRAG SHOW
Lambda Law Society proudly presents the 5th Annual Miss IndyLaw DRAG SHOW! in the Atrium of McKinney School of Law on Saturday, April 6. Showtime is 4 p.m. A $5 admission and tips raised from student performers will benefit the Damien Center and Indiana Youth Group.

This is an alcohol-free event. Refreshments will be provided. Contestants are eligible to win based on the amount of tips brought into the show and tips received during their performance, so bring dollar bills!

13. Commencement Student Speakers
Graduating students (undergraduates only) are invited to submit an application for Commencement Speaker. The students will speak at the ceremony in which they participate as graduates. A candidate will have a successful academic record, and a history of campus and/or community involvement. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 28. Selected candidates will be scheduled for interviews shortly thereafter. An FAQ and application form are available on the Commencement website.

14. Wine to Water Charity Founder to Speak at IUPUI
Doc Hendley, founder of the charitable organization Wine to Water, will speak at IUPUI on April 1, kicking off Earth Month activities on campus. The presentation is also part of the Efroymson Lectures on International Art, Culture and Heritage and a Greening IUPUI grant. The event is free and open to the public.

Details: April 1, Campus Center Theater, 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. A book signing for "Wine to Water" will follow.

17. Wrongful Conviction and Death Row Panel Discussion, Mar. 28
Learn about wrongful conviction and death row March 28, 6:30-8 p.m., in NU 103, at this event featuring death row exoneree Delbert Tibbs and a panel of experts from the community. Delbert Tibbs was wrongfully convicted of murder and rape in 1974, was sentenced to death and then was exonerated 8 years later. Now, he is an anti-death penalty activist. 19. Indiana Supreme Court Lecture - Tuesday, April 2nd
Indiana Supreme Court Lecture: "Corporate Governance: Delaware's Pervasive Influence" will be presented by Justice Randy Holland, Delaware Supreme Court on April 2 at 5:00 pm in the Wynne Courtroom at the IU McKinney School of Law.

There is no fee to attend this lecture.
The program will carry 1.0 hours of Indiana CLE credit

20. Twenty-first Century Scholars Seeks Mentors
The Twenty-first Century Scholars Success Program is offering Mentor Scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic school year to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Recipients will receive a $2000 scholarship and have tuition provided for a mentoring course. Mentors will be expected to volunteer at least 10 hours per week working with first year 21st Century Scholars. The IUPUI Museum Studies Collections Care Fair will take place from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 6 at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, 500 W. Washington St. The public is invited to bring in beloved heirlooms and meet with a professional conservator for one-on-one conversations on how to better store, care for, and preserve family treasures. 29. IUPUI Lacrosse Undefeated / Home game this Wednesday the 27th
IUPUI Men's Lacrosse team traveled to Louisville, KY over the weekend for a double header. The Jags came out 2-0 with victories over both Eastern Kentucky (Score 7-5) and University of Louisville (Score 7-2.)

Come out and support the Jags at their first home game this season agains Ball State at Carroll Stadium, 6:30pm on Wednesday (March 27th)!

32. Research Study for Parents of Older Children and Adolescents with Problems
Are you and your teen having problems getting along? Indiana University School of Social Work needs parents of youth ages 10 to 16 to take part in a study.
The study will look at the effects of using an online multimedia program and guided discussion for parents of challenging youth. Online participation is anonymous. Participants completing the study receive $40.

33. UITS seeking study volunteers to earn $20 gift card
UITS is seeking students at IUPUI who currently view and pay their Bursar bills online to participate in a focus group on April 1. The sessions will be at either 10am or 12:30 p.m. and last 90 minutes.

34. Have you experienced a brain injury with lasting effects?
The Center for Neuroimaging at IU School of Medicine is recruiting for a study evaluating effectiveness of 3 treatments in individuals with memory and attention problems related to traumatic brain injury (TBI). Participants must be between 18 and 65 years of age, and have experienced a TBI or concussion with lasting attention and memory problems. Participants should be able to travel to IUPUI campus for 5 visits over 7 weeks. Financial compensation available. Form more info call (317) 963-7516.
35. Call for abstracts: IU Simon Cancer Center's Cancer Research Day
The IU Simon Cancer Center is currently accepting abstracts for posters to be presented at Cancer Research Day, which is Wednesday, May 22. Abstracts can be submitted by clinical nurses, graduate and medical students, post-docs/medical fellows, research technicians and faculty. Abstracts are due April 15. Full details at link.
