On Tuesday, Zeb Davenport, vice chancellor for Student Life, swapped roles with mechanical engineering student Tim Allen to see what life is really like for an IUPUI student. Tim's turn comes Friday when he becomes vice chancellor for a day. 2. IUPUI's 9th Annual International Festival
Have you seen all of the world flags hanging in the Campus Center? That means it's time for IUPUI's annual International Festival! It will be next Thursday, 10:30-2:30. There will be food from 6 countries and booths from over 70 cultural organizations; wear traditional clothing for the Best Dressed Contest, too!

3. IUPUI's 5th Annual Off-Campus Housing Fair
The 5th Annual Off-Campus Housing Fair will take place on Tuesday, Mar. 5th, 2013, from 9 am to 3 pm, in the Atrium on the 1st floor of the Campus Center. This fair will provide students with the opportunity to learn about alternative housing offered in our surrounding Indianapolis community. Apartment providers will be on hand to answer questions, display photos and floor plans, and provide any other off-campus housing information. For more information, please email sloveles@iupui.edu.
4. Nominate a Woman Leader at IUPUI
During Women's History Month, the IUPUI Office for Women celebrates women faculty and staff who have been outstanding leaders in their department or schools. All current IUPUI students, faculty and staff may nominate women faculty or staff for the awards. The winners and nominees will be announced at the Women's History Month Leadership Reception on Mar. 27th. Deadline for nominations is Friday, Mar. 1st. Questions? 5. IUPUI Sport Complex Summer Day Camp Registration Now Open
Summer Day Camp offers children ages 5 - 12 an opportunity to explore many different sports and activities taught in a safe, non-competitive environment. Academic infusions and sport specific camps are also offered. For more information, or to register visit link.

7. IUPUI Nonprofit Expo - Feb. 28
The third annual IUPUI Nonprofit Expo - Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, in Campus Center room 450 from 1 to 4 p.m. - brings together nonprofit, government and community partners that offer internship, volunteer and job opportunities to IUPUI students and alumni. Learn about the various organizations in our community and the opportunities they offer. Free pizza, popcorn and t-shirts (while supplies last), and enter in a drawing for a Kindle!

8. SAPB Goes To Town: Ice Skating & Broomball
Join SAPB as we go ice skating and play broomball on Friday, Feb. 22 from 7:45pm-9:45pm at the Indiana/World Skating Academy. Admission is free, but skate rental is $2.50. For more information stop by the SAPB office on the 3rd floor of the campus center in the Office of Student Involvement.
9. SAPB Presents: Skyfall
SAPB would like to invite you and your friends to come out and enjoy the newest James Bond movie Skyfall on Thursday, Feb. 21 in the campus center theatre. There will be two showings, the first from 3 - 5 p.m and the second from 7 - 9 p.m.
10. Hip Hop Dance Crew
If you love to dance or have an interest, then you have a chance to take professional dance workshops and participate in a dance battle.The IUPUI Hip Hop Dance Crew is hosting a Battle Ground Zero 5. You can be a supporter if dancing is not one's talent. The battle is on Friday May 3, 2013 at 6:30pm-12:30am.

11. April is National Occupational Therapy Month
April is National Occupational Therapy Month.Occupational therapy is the health and rehabilitation profession that focuses on maximizing a person's ability to participate in life independently. With occupational therapy, children and adults facing physical, cognitive or psycho-social challenges can improve skills that help them perform daily tasks at home, at school, at work and at play. Currently, the IU Department of Occupational Therapy offers an entry-level master's degree on the Indianapolis campus.

14. Building a Safe Community
Please join IUPUI CAPS, the Office for Women, and the Sexual Assault Prevention Task Force for a campus-wide presentation on Bystander Empowerment and Sexual Assault Prevention. This presentation will focus on raising awareness with regard to sexual assault on college campuses, strategies for prevention, and ways to be an active part of creating a safe IUPUI community. This presentation will be held on Tuesday, Mar. 5th from 4:30-6:00 pm in CE 148. All members of the IUPUI community are welcome.

22. Drawings of Defiance - Art from the Syrian Revolution
A member of the Syrian Hoosier community, Kenan Rahmani, has returned with art from Syria after a recent visit where he witnessed many human atrocities from the war. Rahmani was fortunate enough to be able to meet and connect with the people of a small city of Kafranbel. While parting the people of Kafranbel gave Rahmani their art so that their message could reach around the world.

Rahmani will be bringing this art to IUPUI. See the attached link.

33. Research Study for Children with ADHD and TDD
Investigators at IU School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry are conducting a research study for children aged 10-14 with suspected ADHD and mood swings. The study examines the effect of an FDA approved medication on a child's ability to regulate their emotions. This study involves 6 visits to Riley Hospital and 2 MRI brain scans. The first visit will be up to 6 hours, and the remaining visits will be approximately 1 hour. Participants will receive free mental health evaluations, free study medication, and will be compensated $210 to offset costs of time and travel if the study is fully completed. 34. Research Study for Children with ADHD, ODD, or Conduct Disorder
Investigators at IU School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry are conducting a research study for children aged 10-14 with suspected ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, or Conduct Disorder and healthy control children with no psychiatric disorders or addiction history in their family. The study examines a child's risk for drug addiction based on whether or not they have a father with a history of substance abuse. This study involves up to 3 visits to Riley Hospital. The first visit will be 3-4 hours, the second visit will be 2-3 hours, and the third visit (if applicable) will be 2-3 hours. Participants will receive free mental health evaluations and will be compensated up to $225 + a gift card to offset costs of time and travel. 35. Research Study for Children and Adolescents with Tourette's Disorder
Doctors at IU School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry are conducting a research study of an investigational medication for children ages 7-17 with Tourette's Disorder. The study involves up to 11 visits over 18 weeks. Participants will receive study procedures, mental health evaluations, and medication or placebo at no charge. 36. African American Healthy Volunteers Needed for Brain Imaging Studies!
IU Psychotic Disorders Program seeks healthy volunteers to participate in a research study using brain scans (MRI). If you are: age 18-23, male, African-American, not on prescription medications, and have no psychiatric illness you may qualify. The study consists of questionnaires, an interview, and one MRI. You will be compensated for your time!

37. Research study for Adolescents with substance use and mental illness
Investigators at IU School of Medicine Department of Adolescent Medicine are conducting a research study for children aged 13-18 with substance use, and various mental health disorders. This study examines family involvement in recovery from substance use and mental illness. Call 317-948-3472 to learn more about an opportunity to participate in research and receive treatment for substance use. Individuals that qualify will participate in an interview before (2-3 hrs) and after treatment (1-3hrs), and receive 17 free sessions of treatment. Treatment sessions typically last 90 minutes and occur 1-2 times a week. Receive up to $45 for participation.
38. Healthy women with BMI of 30-40 needed for control group
The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the IU School of Medicine is seeking healthy women age 18-40 for a research study involving Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. To participate women need to be between 18-40 years of age, have a BMI of 30-40 and cannot be currently pregnant or on Birth Control. Subjects will be compensated for their time. 39. Have you experienced a brain injury with lasting effects?
The Center for Neuroimaging at IU School of Medicine is recruiting subjects for a study evaluating the effectiveness of 3 treatments in individuals with memory and attention problems related to traumatic brain injury. Participants must be between 18 and 65 years of age, and have experienced a traumatic brain injury or concussion resulting in lasting problems with attention and memory. Participants should be able to travel to the IUPUI Campus. Contact Jessica Bailey at (317)963-7516 for info.
40. Were you depressed as a teen?
Investigators at IU School of Nursing are conducting a research study interviewing 18 to 21 year old African American students who experienced symptoms of depression during their teen years (ages 13 - 17). Volunteers will receive a $10 Starbucks gift card after completing the interview. 41. Lose Weight and Prevent Type 2 Diabetes
If you are age 18 or older and overweight you MAY be eligible for a 2 year research study evaluating weight loss in people with prediabetes.
